Choosing which ski.. +k for help
hey i am buying some skis and i have it down to 2 different choices.. i am 5'8 and probably an intermediate skiier. looking for a ski thats good all around not just park
so my choices are
used 166 k2 public enemies w/ saloman z10 bindings AND atomic hawx boots all for $200..
used 160 nordica superchager spark w/ saloman z12 bindings for $150..
if someone has a better suggestion for around the same price let me know
+k for help and good shit
-k for anything else
Well both those skis have saomon Z bindings, which are not intended for the park. If your just starting and not doing more then small jumps and boxes they should be fine, but any more then that and sooner or later the base plate will brake, there just not made for that type of skiing. As for the K2's with boots do the hawx actually fit you. Hawx are supper high in the instep so you better have a high arch and instep or they may not be too good. Also second hand skis will have no warrenty at all, so if they break your out of luck. Why not look for some old new skis. You will have to spend more then $200 but lets be honest thats no enough money for any thing good at all.
thanks for the input, karma for you
what specifically would you suggest?
look at line masterminds. i have these skis and there a really great intermediate park ski, that can do just about anything else you throw at it too. they're pretty buttery and really durable. they are also set at a really good pricepoint.
"Skiing isn't about who can look the best on camera and throw the biggest tricks, skiing's about getting out there with your friends and having fun."
your 5/8 and your looking at skis in the 160's? c'mon, im 5/10 and i ride 194's
i'd go for the K2 enemies because skis size 166 is already small and one 160 is even smaller + you get boots. Id assume they fit since you told us about them
Ski The East
this. and if your just started out 166 isnt the worst for you. and you get a whole setup for 2 hundo which is wayyyy good if everything is in good condition.
i used to ride the k2 public enemies... nice ski, especially for someone who is intermediate
thanks for the input everyone, +k
All times are Eastern (-5)
