flatspins feel almost like you go forwards off the jump, even though it's a backwards flip. It's weird to describe.
Like say you are doing it rightside. In rodeo you pop and bring your right shoulder up with your hips following right? In a flatspin you want to almost punch with your left shoulder. Not like a misty where your left shoulder goes above your right and then rolls over, but more like punching forward and down with your left shoulder.
Ok nvm I can't explain it at all in words. I could show you the difference in the set in one second and what I am saying would make sense.
Both very stupid and gay tricks. Everyone can do them. Dont start doing rodeos or corks till you can add more rotation than a 3 off a 20 ft jump. You wont get any better and your progression will be way more difficult. My advise, stop, learn to do 7's then wait till conditions are soft to add flip in your rotation.
