Should I smoke?

If you don't want to read the text just answer the question...

I have never smoked weed in my life, even though
I've been my friends smoking loads of times. I just don't know why, I think I've been telling myself that I wouldn't waste money, and that I would be happy later in my life, and that it's better for my health. But now I realised those reasons are all pussy shit: I drink, and I've wasted a lot of money on that, it's arguably worst than weed for your health, and it's just gay to say I'll be happier later.

So tommorrow, when me and my friends are going to smoke, when I'm offered for the millionth time, I'm going to say yes. But should I? I'm starting to have doubts that I would be perceived as a poser and wanting to conform myself. Are there any arguments against just having fun?

I say smoke it, I do, you wont get addicted, at least not physically. I have smoked like hardcore for like a month, and then a take a few week break, and then do it all again. and it is cheaper then booze.

I hate it when people say weed enhances your life almost as much as when people say that it ruins your life. When you get high, your life doesn't suddenly get better. And it doesn't make you open minded all of a sudden either. If you're a dumbass before, you'll still be a dumbass once you smoke. And it won't make you more intelligent if you already are a smart person. It's just a nice sensation. I think most kids nowadays who try weed will be disappointed since it's so hyped up.

I think you'll be suprised to find that noone on their deathbead would wish 'they didn't smoke those 5 joints in highschool' unless they get stupid high decided to fly a rocket.

Anything in moderation is not that bad for you. if you could do even hard drugs just once to see how it was without becoming addicted you'd be prefectly fine. (except maybe a bad acid trip) it's the addiction to things that are only slightly harmfull that will kill you.

doctors say a glass of wine a day is good for you, where 10 a day is not good. and a joint when you're incredibly stressed can be good for you, but obviously 10 a day is probably not good for you at all.

and you will not become addicted unless you make the choice to be. many people quit for a year then go back to doing it and quit for a couple months. they go back to doing it because they know they're not addicted to it, they just enjoy it and it's not really hurting themselves.

I dodged out of the choice because it was raining outside today, so we didn't do anything in the afternoon. Tomorrow night though there's the St-Jean party, and it's our national celebration of drunken-ness so you have to get drunk. So I'll get drunk.

The reason why I asked it on NS is because my friends are the kind of guys that would say you're a fag when some other guy would talk about his feelings, and I just can't bring myself to talk about it. They're good friends, but that's their bad side. And I don't hesitate because I'm scared I'll get addicted, I hesitate because there's the chance my friends will think I'm just smoking to fit in, which I'm not.

i know enough about weed to tell you that smoking everyday will make you a little lazy, generally alot calmer, and about 4 times more waid back, you lung capaicity will not be affected, but you might notice that you don't care about money any more.

first time you try smoking you might not get high. depending on who you are, some times it takes a few times to get high. You will get tired and really hungry with munchies and yes you can get addicted to weed. my friend is really badly addicted to weed and she's screwed up her life pretty badly. If you haven't smoked yet and your reading this, you should at least try it once but if you want to try to be cool, trust me it won't be worth it. I really don't think it's worth it because I tried it when I wanted to look cool when i was younger and it was just dumb. I personally like alcohol better and it isn't any worse for you than weed unless you are an alcoholic

^I don't smoke, although I probably would if I wasn't in the military right now. I got a friend that does though, and he's still extremely fun to hang out with when he's not high, I kinda have the feeling he's perma-fried from all the other drugs he did back in college... But anyways, I have no problem with weed, when you see people get angry and violent from drinking booze all the time I guess you'd probably have no problem hanging out with those that'd rather mellow out than get stupid...

if youre not doing it for health reasons, just so you know most of the bullshit they peddle to you in anti-drug programs and ads isn't true. obviously no one will argue that smoking some bud is healthy, but the only real bad effect is the tar and carcinogens which are harmless in small amounts anyways. its not like youll be chainsmoking all day like cig smokers, so who cares.

and dont worry about wasting your money on weed, its not a waste. besides if your friends have some just chip in a little and share it.
