Denver Big Air?

So denver big  air is tonight and i hear that the tickets are still $45. at other big air comps such as kos, isnt general admission free?

Anyways my dad happens to work in one of the buildings next to the jump so i can just go to the roof and get an awesome view!

So, who is paying the $45 to go and who is opting not to go because of the ticket cost?

I happen to be in colorado and close to denver, I don't think I'm going. That's like the price of a lift ticket, and I can watch it online. Still, I've never seen an event like this live. Gotta think about it.

Once again, they have a FREE ga area which can hold 35,000 people.  It won't be dead on looking up the landing hill, but it should still be good.  Practice session was insane.  Someone attempted a dub rodeo 14.  I'll try to post the vid.

london freeze is like £80 for the weekend but that has live music from the likes of pendulum as well

how come there doesn't seem to be an american equivalent that is as successful?

DBA has live music this year too, both nights.

This is the first year of DBA... it takes a few years for things to become super successful and kick in.

The only downer is that skiing is during the day from 5-9 and they save snowboarding for tomorrow night. pssh snowboarders get all the hype.

ummmm 5 - 9 tonight... I heard there are more tickets sold for skiing than snowboarding at the moment.

Doesn't seem like more hype when the hours are the same, just half hour shorter for skiing cause there are a few less competitors.

Also, there is a free area, the view is good. It just wasn't advertised cause it cost something lik $1 million to throw the event. Apparently FIS events are expensive.

We don't have an equivalent to the expensive euro event cause generally all the events here are free. The US Surf open is the Largest free music festival in the US and had Alkaline trio and Weezer this year along with many others that are definitely better than the switch foot that denver big air got. Also, xgames are happening right now which is 3 hours from the event and free.

I wasn't going to go because tickets were so expensive. But they were 1/2 price on Denver deals last week so I bought a couple. Should be a good time. The jump is really crazy looking when you drive around the park. Should be a real show. I wish they could have gotten a better band but whatever. I just want it to be a success so they bring it back next year.
