Any way to check if sites are legit?

I just bought a pair of skis on this site that I couldnt find anywhere else, so i went ahead and did it (by phone). it seems legit but i was just wondering, is there any good way to check if a site is legit?

i would normallly google the site.. see if people talk about it being bogus.. but ya i dont think many people would take the time to make a false ski shop website so your good.

call the main company your getting your skis from and they would have this distributor in thier books and if they dont have it in it then dont buy from that distrubutor

i would trust it. go to the bottom left and click on the link that says "who we are" or whatever it is (i just clicked it, dont remember what it said exactly) it looks legit there. and it has an address, email, and phone number.

the "who we are/about us" thing works for almost every site. if that seems legit, and the rest of the site looks legit, you are probably fine
