the hike usually takes about 3 hours for the average person. I carried my skis and boots and a lot more stuff than i needed up to tucks when i was in 8th grade, so i would imagine its not hard for the average person to do. you will sleep very well that night though
I guess you could find a way. I've hiked around carrying skis with a boot bag just by putting them through the straps, but that was really annoying. Packs designed to carry skis will probably make it easier.

if youre looking for a solid as fuck pack for hiking/carrying skis/fighting zombies/ anything you could imagine, the northface offchute is by far the best pack i have ever owned in my life. the price is a bit steep, but you should be able to find a less popular color online for a decent discount
