How to front 450 out?

tittle says it all.  and yes i know this is probably a repost but i hate the search bar so i just did this . i can pretty much like land the 360 out but i cant get that full rotation also alot of the times my ski catches on the rail . so someone tell me how plz?

just look it all the way around, commit to landing forward again.
On a different note, i come down backseat on front 4's a lot, any tips for that?

be sure to pull up your legs to give yourself more air time, and solve your problem of your skis hitting the rail. to avoid landing backseat, keep your hands in front of your knees.

grip it and rip it. Make sure you pop off of the rail to avoid hitting your skis, lack of speed may be another reason. But mostly, set it hard and just keep looking, stay balanced in the air, and stomp.

It took me a while to learn, because I slide right foot forward, and spin left, so it was my unnatural way, and I resorted to back 4s. Finally I learned front 4s last year. All I would say is keep your head spinning, and get lots of pop. The rest should work itself out! Good luck man

yes but its not really pretzel cause you dont spin in.

and I have the exact same problem as the OP. i can get to 2 really easily but for some reason i stop looking and my rotation just stops. i just need to practice i think

Get on fully sideways scissor towards the end of the box set your shoulders and pop and you'll stomp it with après bang

I struggled with this trick for a while because I spin left and grind rails right foot forward.  I started trying to land right 360's on jumps and that really helped me get that last 90 degrees.

its alot easier than you would think to get to a 450 from a 270 really all you have to do is spin harder than you think you would need to. Another thing that could be helpful is to get speed and pop before the end of the rail to start your rotation

Hey if you wanna spin more in anything ether on or off a rail or just a jump, just spin as hard as you can but make your body as straight as prossible.      My friend does this and he can 720 in the progression park at COP.

Depending on the rail/box try getting more speed coming on, that's always helped me.

when I first got them i would spin it on the ground without skis to get a feel for the rotation and that helped. you just have to break the muscle memory associated with stopping at 270.

try to get the first 90 of it before you leave the box/rail. that way, youve actually got some spinning momentum when you leave the rail.  and as long as you get your shoulders around you can probably wip you torso around for it, so just work on that

visualize adding that extra 90 degrees. Think of it as when you land, you want to be facing what you're skiing towards

I cant get front 4 but I can get back 4. Maybe try backs first?

But also, just dip your forward heel and pop off your back foot. and of course huck it

just land the same way but bang the fuck out of it. or pop a little more off your front foot and use your back hand to help initiate rotation

biggest advice is to not think about doing a 450 until you are ready to come of the rail. if you are thinking about doing a 450 wen you jump on the rail you arent going to ride the rail well enough to grip a 450. also some rails are easier for 450s than others. pick one pretty high off the ground or one that gives you a good pop like a wale tail

try it off the tallest flat rail (not box) that your park has and go fast to avoid tip catching

the wider the rail or box is, the harder it is to spin off.

grip really well push off with the front foot jump hard lead with your torso and put the arms to the side, it will come around aand if you are landing backseat you just have too much weight on the back foot when you're sliding even it out and you should be good

EDGE LOCK LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. Then, prewind with your arms. By the end of the rail, you should have started to spin ON the rail and be facing almost directly down the mountain. POP, pull your knees up... keep looking round then ride away like a G.
