Even know this is my second year skiing I am starting to Love this and i thinks it better than anything in the world. My first year of skiing was when i was 10. I only went like 5 times but it was very fun and time that i will never forget. For the last four years of my life I have been snowboarding. I Really never got that much enjoyment from it. So at the end of last year i thought i would give skiing another shot. Even know Ive only been like 5 times this year so far it was been really fun and I would not rather do anything in the world then ski <3. So describe how you started and what Skiing means to you.

yup

honestly if i lived somewhere that had mountains it would probably be different.

but skiing is fucking expensive and theres other shit id rather spend my money on than buying $500+ of gear every year.

i agree with both your posts so far. i live 2 hours away from a hill. i have done the skiing out west and heli-ski. why go and pay 70 dollars for a lift ticket and stand in line for 15 mins and get down the hill in 1 minute? i don't have the benefit of parents paying for lift tickets and gas and equipment. paying down credit card debt and doing practical things with my money out weigh skiing for me atm. if i lived out west near a mountain it would be very different probably.

yeah I live in Maine where there is a bunch of mountains. It a funn place to be but after highschool im going to stop wasting my money on like you said 500 plus on stuff and just save or invest my money in somthing important

Snowboarding is my passion in life. I think about it everyday all day. Im going to college but I try to keep snowboarding the center of my life. My dream as a kid was to snowboard my whole life, any way possible. Riding a small 2 lift mountain for 5 years this is my first year having a park city season pass. A dream come true. Snowboarding is my life, so it is as important to me as living itself.

southern ontario isnt the best skiing... but i got myself a job so getting paid is fun.

and skiing means a lot to me (other then the job) "its my life" its my way of disconnecting from the world and just going back to the times where nothing matters but the skiing and the good times. its amazing how no matter what is going on, when you are skiing, nothing matters, its freedom, its living, its too fucking short in ontario.

its turned into my life. i make a large majority of desicions in my life around skiing. really fortunate for being able to ski almost everyday next semester and im just trying to enjoy everyday as much as possible
