So i'm looking to get an adapter to use some canon lenses on my nikon mount 35mm setup, while avoiding buying another mount from redrock for 100 bucks. I searched around and im coming to the conclusion they don't exist. Anyone know whats up? I guess the nikon mount is smaller than canon so it might not work? anybody know?

canon lenses cannot be adapted to traditional nikon cameras do to mirror and sensor distance issues. like you said, the nikon mount is smaller than the canon so they don't work, and are probably hard to come by.

yeah you have to. the focal flange distance is closer on nikon than canon, you cant mount them close enough.
thats why canon is so adaptable, because their lenses sit so far from the sensor its easy to put just about any other lens there, you just have to add space not reduce it.
