summer camp necessities

any suggestions for campers? anything they need to bring that they should know? (if this has been posted i couldn't find it when i searched, sorry)
clothing, warm and cold, coats, hoodies, tees, wife- beaters?
videos?
music-wise?
ski equipment wise?
money?
any 'tricks of the trade' if you will?

just general comments. hope this to be the thread where new campers can go for assistance and tips.

stuff like how everything works
like when you go up to the mountain in the morning, do you take a pack with you? take like a extra shirt, or so you can put your jacket in it, to listen to your cd player on the way up..... that kinda questions/ answers

i found one thread now kind of like this, but mine will be better! muahhahahaha

walrus wow, are you an idiot, have you ever been to whistler? what kinda skier hasnt been there? a bad skier. you have to have new school tricks like my triple hot foot to 90 power slide to pimp grind to 90 no slide to faceplant. that is a new school trick and you have no style. NO STYLE!!!

bring some t's, long sleeve shirts, and hoodies... shorts and pants. and a wind-breaker. you don't need a down jacket or anything, just something to block the wind and keep you relitivly warm on the cold days (it's known to snow up on the glacier in the middle of july). bring a backpack with ya and fill it with whatever you need for the day - cd player (although you can just talk to people while going up the chair - you meet really cool people on your right up/down), some extra clothes if it's expected to warm up or cool down a lot over the course of the day, skateboard, inline skates, or soap shoes (whatever floats your boat) for the skatepark (which kicks major ass). depending on the camp you go go some money for food and other shit (bring lots of boozing and pot money if you are into partying). an extra pair of boots or at least liners for the water ramps, some dirtbike gloves or spring snowboard gloves, bring sunblock shit, and lots (and i mean lots) of aviator sunglasses, actually, bring a pair of aviators everywhere you go... not just skiing in whistler - those things rule.

Last year was the best, I'd dress up as a dirty hack everyday I went up.

i stoped skating, and grew out of my soaps....will i be missing out of the skate park

I CAN NOT STRESS SUNSCREEN ENOUGH.... IT IS A LIFELINE UP THERE.... water bottel too... i sleep on the lift up so a CD player kicks ass... I was out there for 2 weeks last summer and the first week POURED rain and was FREEZING cold, the guys said it was the coldest/grossest it had been all summer session so take your normal winter gear out so what if it stays in the hotel at least you have it if you need it... Speakers for you hotel room is a MUST!! so awesome to be able to chill with people in your room and listen to music... FILM if your planning on taking a camera. pack extra film even if you dont think you'll use 5 rolls take it just incase... Sunglasses too...
Take an extra pair of mitts/hats up the lift with you in your pack... i found it was always best to take extra clothes up just incase... but then again im a girl and i do have a habit of over packing... MAKE SURE U PACK SUNSCREEN , ur at a higher altitude (closer to the sun) and ur surrounded by snow and water which reflects the sun and makes it 3X as strong, and make sure you put sunscreen on your upper lip and the bottom of your nose (it hurts like a BITCH if it gets burnt) and Aloe is always good to have incase you do get sunburnt!!

I say bring the PS2... you can have a lot of dead time in your room when you're really tired and just don't want to move.

I'll say sunscreen again because it's THAT important.

Watter bottle rules, even two, 'cause all your friends will forget them and take water from you.

Good rain gear makes your day when the weather sucks.

Extra liners for your boots (I forget who said that) is a MUST. Skiing with wet boots after water ramping sucks ass.

Uhhhh.... I think that everybody else took care of most of it.

SUNSCREEN like eveyone said...get the strongest shit you can get...it saves your ass. always take more water than you need, someone usally forgets theres and needs to bum it from people so help them out. if you dont stay hydrated you will ski like shit, and forget about hiking. if you are going to hood bring sandals to walk to and from the lift (i dont konw what its like at whistler. bring a heavy coat also...it snowed 3 inches last year and was very windy, also is you ahve a mesh tshirt i would bring that, i have a mesh motocross jersey and i wear it everyday

i dont have anything lite and water proof...shit......shit...all i have water proof is winter coat, and thats heavy. oh well, hopefulyl hoodies will do

what about ski vids? or do they have some to watch? and wht about red bull

and the other question is like for water ramping, how does it work? i mean, i water ramp, and i know if takes boots FOREVER to dry, and i know how easily it is to break skis, even wood core. i can go through 5 pair a summer, i mean, they can really break, and rust like a bitch, and its bad for your skis. there is no way i am water ramping with my good skis and boots, so what happens? does COC provide the stuff? i mean, i have bad boots and skis, but i am not going to bring another pair of boots and skis and bindings...
and what about life jackets, helmets, and wet suits? or do you use dry suits?

well dude i have never been water rapming but i heard if you can to bring another pair of boot liners if you have any old ones that fit in your shell so you dont have to worry about ruining your good ones. thats just what ive heard though

To answer the water ramp question, they provide the skis, you provide the boots. What I did is bring extra liners (from my bros boots, dont go and spend $100 on new liners). The boots wont rust or anything, fuck I never dry my boots after skiing. If you cant find extra liners then youll need to set em out in the sun and find a blowdryer. Any more ?s just pm me.

Oh yeah, I dont know about coc but HN (or was it the water ramp facility?) provided the life-jackets and wetsuits. You dont need a wetsuit but the water is cold as fuck and the wetsuit helps if you fall on you side or something.

bring a jacket it can get cold as fuck NO RED BULL ITS ILLEGAL IN CANADA or so i was told by the 7/11 lady so bring your own if you're into that shit also bring two pairs of pants to ski in as many spring gloves as you have and some warmer gloves too because it does get cold plenty of t shirts ,porn and whatever food you can i like food and tons of money and your skis and boots and poles

i was thiking-- line ski bag for skiis and poles, but it may tear?
line backpack(bootbag) for boots and snowpants and gloves and hats

big bonfire bag for extra boot liners and all cloths

and my northface backpack for music and shiznit

i have a k2 ski bag that has wheels, its a really nice bag $120, i got it half off though. its so sweet, it holds 3 pairs of skis, two pairs of poles, and almost all of my ski clothes, pack your clothes in wiht your skis, it gives you protection and it also saves on luggage
