Saga Issues

Yo NS,

First off, this should probably be in Gear Talk, but I figured I'd get a better response in here.

Ok, so over the summer, as many people did, I decided to take advantage of the Saga Pre - order. I bought the Darkside pants. That's it, that's all. I got the confirmation email saying that I ordered and all and PayPal said I had been charged for it. So basically, I am set.

Well, November 30th rolls around pretty quickly and I'm excited knowing my Saga is being sent out. December 5th comes around and pretty much from then on I'm anxiously waiting for the package.

Nothing.

Haven't gotten anything to this day. I was bummed, but not too bummed, because I know stuff like this happens alot with ordering over the internet. The problem is that Saga never responds to my emails or phone calls. And they display this on their website -

I have called about 5 times and sent numerous emails. They have not responded to one. I hate to sound like a dick, because I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but I really wanna know what's up.

If anyone knows a better way to contact them, please let me know.

got a call today from a dude from saga after trying to contact for a weak. he left a message and gave me his personal number. theyre really stacked, you will hear back eventually.

Good to hear. Yeah, I knew it wasn't the end of the world and I would get my pants eventually. Again, I really try to stay open - minded. They could be having numerous problems and that's why they haven't responded.

I got ahold of them too and they said they've been getting around 100 calls a day and they've been trying harder than ever to get stuff done. be patient for a tiny bit longer and you'll get what your looking for

they are a company, why do we have to give them a break? If necessary, why don't they hire more people so they can be a company that isn't getting 100 calls a day? Im pretty sure that a lot of those calls are people wondering where the hell their package is. They pride themselves on CS, yet no responses for a week doesn't sound so great.

Same with me Dylan, I've sent them a ton of emails and calls and they've ignored them all. I understand there's a delay and they can't control that, but the least they could do is tell me what's up instead of just ignoring emails.

i do not see how anyone could stick up for them..they handle business worse than any other company i have ever delt with. Even during the summer it is the same shit. My gf got me some swimmers in the wrong size. returned them in July got the refund in the middle of November. Its bull shit. They never email, call, or anything back. its retarted they still get the business that they do.

to the op, good thread you have pionted out a valid piont.

but to all you other bitchy and whinie shits u should think about it. they have a 100 NSers crying to them everyday about there gear. it is not Saga's fault that it is back ordered, if u had read there website update it is the factory that is fucking this all up.

Hiring people aint that easy, u have to find people that are smart and understand what there doing, etc. My dad owns his own business and you cant just hire random people. it cost money and time to train, supervise, pay wages, and deal with all the other shit that is involved in owning a company

That's fine for Making the product, but when it comes to customer service, no excuses. You can hire people all over the country to do the job. Even f you suck, something is always better than nothing.

yo the EXACT same thing happened to my roommate. he bough the darkside pants and thats it.
it sucks real hard and he still hasn't gotten them. sorry for that happening.

but I do kind of have information. he sent an email and got a response, and the email said that the darksides wouldn't ship nov. 30th like everything else because they were the last pants made. but the would ship soon (this was like the 12th). idk how long "soon" is. but dont worry I am sure you will get them. just keep hoping.

but screw saga for being gay.

shut up. they have everyone there working around the clock trying to get stuff out. they are sending everything with express and priority mail which they shouldnt even be doing because it is not their fault at all. personally i had a terrific experience with their customer service and quality if their gear.
so please shut up and stop bagging on them for something that is entirely out of their control

Good news! A higher up guy from Saga called yesterday twice. He was extremely sorry for the delay on everything and even offered a full refund or a size change since I was worried my pants would be too small.

He said they were having problems with the factory and they were late on alot of things for Saga.

relax big guy. no need to get all offended. I just dislike what is happening to these people that pre-ordered their stuff in august to find out that there are big issues with it. saga is doing a great job of making it up to them and for that, I give them props. But they are a business, and are responsible for backing up what they say, and give their PAYING customers what they promised.. you need to take a step back and calm it.

At least some people realise that if you buy something you expect a certain level of service. That is receive your purchase by or at least near the date THEY quoted and actually reply by the means of contact. I don't see why everyone is on the bandwagon to defend a company that has left a bad taste in many peoples mouth even if you love the gear. I understand if there have been previous quality issues, but the level of service is certainly lacking.

Personally, I have had two 'small, independent' companies fail to send me the gear that I had actually purchased in the last two years, and with there track record I feel that it is beyond understandable if people want to know why they have not received purchased items. (Note before anyone asks: Saga jacket ripped, gave me a discount on a new jacket, never sent one out, all stock sold out, apologised and said they would send a t-shirt and obviously never received that either)

If this was any other company outside skiing, no matter how big or small, you would not take to kindly if they ignored calls and messages. Especially after charging you before even shipping, a practise that is very unprofessional in my opinion and certainly not a common one.

Either way, let the hate on this commence. I am not trying to make an attack against your favourite company but merely emphasise that they are a business and one therefore expects a basic level of service.

zomg my sawga is a month late! ive emailed 45 times, called 56 times and left about 30 messages asking where it is, WHY CANT THEY JUST RETURN MY PHONE CALL! and i dont read the updates they post on their website.

but hey at least it seems like the stuff exists, and you didnt pre order in june to be told in december that they are sold out.

Why the hell would you email 45 times and call 56 times? that just makes everything worse! you have to be mentally handicapped or something. You're part the reason that this process is moving so slowly and why other people aren't getting their calls/emails returned. How about you call a couple times and leave a couple emails for them, not fucking 45 and 56.
