Best snow tires?

I'm going to get snow tires in a bit, and obviously i gotta go to a place that sells the correct brand.

I think it'd be between Michelin X-Ice and Bridgestone Blizzaks for me since theyre both pretty affordable...

I've read in some places that the X-Ice are the best anyway.

if you want the best go with nokian hakkapeliitta's. if you can find an older model, not the newest (which is 6?) it shouldnt be too expensive. i got my 2's for 95 a tire.
michelin x-ices are decent, they have good reviews, but unfortunately the only test ive seen with them was on hardpack snow. and from personal experience i wasnt impressed with their ability in deep snow.

for blizzaks it depends which ones, some are good some are not so god.

i have the blizzacks on my volvo xc90. what type of area are you in and what types of conditions do you usually have to deal with on yo drive up to the mtn and where you live?

get something you can stud. i put studded tires on my shitty saturn ion last month and it feels like 4-wheel drive
