how many views did the video have when you started to generate revenue?
mine started at 10,000 views and with only 6,000 more views i have made $11.45

I'm not exactly sure when it started paying. The video blew up in a hurry. Two days after posting, I had 75,000+ views and was top 10 news story in about a dozen countries. 90,000 after about a week. But it's done hardly anything in the last month.

I think my video is actually increasing in daily views so im really stoked!
In order to have a successful video it must be 100% original content.
This means you cant use copyrighted music or footage that isnt yours.

Step 1 make a video and post it on youtube

If it is moderately successful (5-10 thousand views) youtube will send you a message congratulating you on a successful video.

Step 2 follow the steps youtube has posted in the message

Step 3 create a google adsense account

Step 4 Acquire currency

my friend's uncle is dave from davidsfarm. he makes thousands every year from ads, people wanting his videos on tv shows, and for being one of the top rated users in canada. All he does is build white trash machines and stuff and drives em around his farm but for some reason people love it.

wish i was participating in google ad sense when i originally uploaded those videos, because they get alot less traffic now

I am now sure the ad is a pop up on the bottom of the video screen. I dont make any money when someone clicks the side ads for Contour HD or Whistler. It must say ads by google.
