The morning show decided to do a segment on Freeskiing. I feel that the video kills our composure.

ok its great to see skiing getting attention but shit me that was a terrible story! I mean come on they say its like ballet but with skis instead of tutus isn't this the image that skiers have been working hard to get rid of over the last decade? But props to the olenick family on getting the attnetion they deserve

i think the ballet comment was directed towards the gracefulness of the skiers in the air, as opposed to being sloppy. not a great article, but yah, its good that skiing is getting back into the spotlight after all these years.

that comment by the MTVU guy was just saying that college students are sheep, if they see it on TV, they'll think its cool and go do it. although i think that college students, at least for the most part, have enough of a brain that they can decide stuff on their own without television telling them what to do

That's really sweet to see it get that media coverage. For who the news is appealing to, I think they did a pretty good job at covering it. They showed alot of cool ski footage too.

Although a few things I noticed..

I think there are more than 30 girls who freeski in the world, unless she was intending to say 30 girls who are recognized in the sport.

I could guarantee Tanner makes more money than that. 200k could probably be the check he receives from his sponsors a year, but between endorsements, armada, and comp money... I'm sure that pulls in alot more.

most of the time when skiing is introduced into mainstream popculture, it is an embarassment to the sport, the Mad trix video game for example

Alpine ASS

ski shop in EA NY because:
the owner took my ski pass from KB,
had me escourted off KB property
tried to press charges against me
