not really true anymore. if you go to any national showcases, youll see a lot of really good talent from all over the country, and a lot of legit kids are coming out of the west coast nowadays. the sport is spreading as we're all aware and so is the level of talent.
and to another comment above: what high school you went to, prep or public, doesn't mean shit. just because you went to some reputable lacrosse high school doesn't give you any advantage over any other player on a given team, in terms of skill level.. the talent is out there, kids just dont know how to market themselves and college recruiters do a terrible job of selecting from the given pool of players
