I can make survival bracelets. They come in handy every once in a while. It became kinda trendy in the Marine Corps because they allowed us to wear them in garrison with any uniform other then our dress blue deltas (short sleeves). Why?

You can get them from most tactical stores, not a huge fan personally, I just throw 100ft of 550 in my pocket, if it's looped up right it's not big or bulky. I think most people who wear them just do it for the fashion part.

I made one out of some salmon pink Dyneema I had knocking around... really pleased with it, however might give it as a present to a chick for christmas or something seeing as it is pink cord...

My brother an I spilt a 1000 foot spool a couple months back and made all types of cool shit with it.  IMO paracord is probably on the same level as gorilla tape as far as usefulness.
