Some accredited Cpr certs say compressions only because what actually triggers us to breath in (relaxing our diaphragm muscle) is the build up of Co2 in our body. For ski patrol we are trained to do 2 breaths, 40 compressions.
I think they change the numbers every year to stay relevant as a business. or they may be on to something. All I know is 2 breaths and compressions while someone calls 911 and then they grab and AED shit its dumb ass proof.
