A solution to the "grey area" - crackdown for the best

Listen. Everyone has major butthurts right now about everything. Conversations in threads, spambots, lack of moderation, too much moderation, 4chan shit, pointless threads, etc etc etc. Well there is a solution, and if everyone just agrees to do it for a month or two (amount of time to make/break habits) we can SIGNIFICANTLY change ns.

The solution is cleaning up the grey area. These are the threads/posts that are stupid but don't violate any rules and the members that push the limit but don't break anything. What do we do with this stuff? Delete it. You complain about 4chan being a cesspool? guess what, it runs better than NSG at times because they actually moderate it, and clean up the shitty "grey area" and leave stuff worth leaving. A thread looses focus? deleted. Conversation starts up that is dumb? deleted. It's not hard to do, and if everyone realizes that it's going on shit will start to shape up. It's not that hard to do here, in fact its easier than having to determine what's grey or not. If it draws a question, its out of here. Trust me, it works.

1. People won't care and will continue to bitch because their thread on "ZOMG leik luk at dis siiik vid" got deleted.

2. Half the people on this site are, I am pretty sure, retarded and don't know how to post mature shit because they insist on acting like 12 year olds.

3. People think it is funny to fuck up and clutter a forum for some damn reason.

I just really think it won't work and will just increase the amount of bullshit.

Please, please, please don't put kangbang in the same boat as us tinychatters. Sure, all of us 'whore' a bit (though more useless than straight whoring), but we do make reasonably intelligent posts. I know that I try to help out in gt every now and then and browse sg quite often.

I don't mind him as much as everybody else, probably because I don't frequent gt and b/s/t (or buy and trade now) as much as those who really despise him do. Yes, he whores the Jiberish thread, and I have no doubt he bothers people with trying to trade his Jiberish, but it's not as if he is an immature, meme spewing douchebag. It's who he is, and though I don't love it I don't feel he deserves the hate he gets.

wasn't it you and mrstskier that started the tinychat...I never got on but i thought that was how it went, so you may not be part of the problem...but you sorta created it. Without that I don't think it would have gotten to the level it did.

Seriously usernames would definitely help...You guys are all good members and good contributors. But it is things like calling everyone by there first names that made the tinychat group come around. They wanted to be the ones calling each other by there first names and such...Its a bunch of high school kids, if they see someone with a good idea (tinychat), they'll take it and destroy it.

I nominate myself as mod because of my quality contributions and my unhealthy amount of time online. But overall I agree with this idea, and kids who complain about their thread being deleted, too bad, it obviously wasn't on topic or a good thread in the first place.

But try to pin the failure of NSG due to tinychat on us we just made it so we could 3 way video call since Skype couldn't do it.

And I'm not blaming you for the tinychat bullshit and I would be surprised if you three are in high school. I'm saying when mrstskier made the thread about tinychat, it was to learn who NSers were and put faces and names to usernames. Thats where it started, and if it had stayed there and not gotten dominated by a bunch of retards it would have been pretty awesome. But people became friends and they took their personal conversations to the forums, which is wrong, pointless, and a waste of space. I'm not trying to attack anyone, I'm just saying everyone should stop blaming people, because everyone who posted in the late night thread, or the ns chat thread contributed to the problem (myself included). NSG got out of hand, and it is a mixture of a lot of things. Not just one group of high school kids.
