Is there a helmet out there that wont look like shroom on top of my head?

No joke, every damn helmet i try on looks like a p.o.s. on me. However, they look fine on other people. i dont get it. Last year, i had a maze. It looked like a straight up mushroom on top of my head. I thought a holt would be better after looking up some pics with people that had it..i loved the way it looked. Got mine in the mail today, and low and behold, it looks like a mushroom on top of my head.

Also, i always take out the pads out of my helmets and wear a beanie. issue is, in stores, alot of the helmets have that security tag through the chin strap and ear hole therefore i cant try it out without the padding inside

Im tired of looking like toad from mario kart, please help me out with a helmet selection!

giro chapter seriously check it out. kinda pricy but it has this fit system that makes it feel like there is no helmet even on your head

if you dont want to pay that much you could check out the giro shiv but thats pretty similar to the maze so it might not look good on you based on your description of what you look like in helmets

my favorite helmet ever. sooooo light, i forget im wearing it, and its pretty low profile so it looks good.

Im in the same boat, I rock the salomon patrol and is a nice fit and sooo damn light

I'm a fan of the Giro Revolver personally..much like the maze but idk maybe it'll fit your head better...I took out all of the pads on mine and it fits with a beanie perfectly!

I have the shiv, and it's the first helmet I've had that doesn't look mushroom status. Super low profile. And the velcro is on the pads, not the inside, so if you take them out nothing inside the helmet catches on your toque. And the gog strap is magnetic and removable if you like to rock your goggles underneath.

But I haven't tried out any helmets since I got my shiv 2 years ago so there could be some better ones maybe.

the g10 is a pretty sweet helmet, it has the adjustibal sizing so it might fit better for u!

get a capix man. they look sweet on anybodies head, and they dont really have the mushroom look at all

i had the exact same problem when i was going to buy a helmet. The shiv and maze looked like shit on me so i just kept at it and i found the bern baker. It looks pretty good and it fits me like a glove. Just keep looking out for helmets each one fits a little different.

Id just take out the liner on it, wear a hat, sag the helmet a lil bit, and wear some tight gogs, and sag em as well, or just wear a baller as hat with a puff ball on top, I have had no rough falls when ive worn em.

Actually after toying around with the holt, it doesnt look too bad...actually way better than my maze

Poc looks dumb on me im pretty sure. I think i remember trying one on and immediately taking it off and putting it back cause it was just that bad haha

and the only one from salomon i would get is the brigade and remove the visor...

i have seen one skier pull a capix off. K.C. Brousseau. It doesnt work with the average skier style, only really the hesh stuff.
