FKS brakes doesnt fit on RACE FKS ?

I was told by my dealer that new fks brakes doesnt fit on RACE fks ? true ? I tried to compare my last year's fks with my race one and there's not really any difference. So what is it ?

Your dealer just wants you to buy a new pair. They are exactly the same binding as the old ones. Also, rossignol doesn't view fks brakes as removable, so to them, they don't technically "fit".

You can swap old/new brakes no problem if you know what you're doing.

My dealer told me the same thing. Told me that you cant even put the binding back together once its apart, and that you cant even get replacement brakes. Its Bs. I had to call Rossi and order some original 80mm brakes. Gotta bend them out now, it blows.

Can't you just buy the new brakes? I have a fresh pair of old fks but i think i'm gonna bend the brakes.

no, evo and rossi rep said that if they did that, people would just buy brakes instead of new bindings...all metal = pretty much indestructible. and evo said that they wouldn't put the brakes in anyway because it was a bitch to put them back together. i just bent my brakes and used Gator's technique, not that hard

that's the point, I broke an old pair of brakes cause i was trying to bend them and i failed. So I was wondering if buying new 2010 brakes from rossignol would work on my old pair.

they'll work just fine, but they'll be the 75mm brake. they aren't selling wide brakes standalone because then no one would buy the new binding.

whoa whoa, they are not interchangeable at all. the new bindings are seemed together so you cannot even get to the brakes. you cannot use new brakes, toe plates/afds on the old systems.
