i remember i made like 238798253456274650 dollars then i made a giant rollercoaster jump over a lake and i tried to make it land on track on the other side. i put a full load of people on i and my park was shutdown for like a year. thats when i stopped playing hahah
I used to play it like 8 hours a day when that shit came out.
At one point I put all the people in a raging park into a walkway with no exits then shot 4 rollercoasters at the. I was known for drowning people who complained to much. Naming everyone in the park funny shit. Built probably the most epic coaster on the first game.
i crushed that game on my dad's old laptop that ran incredibly slow when i was like 8. i drowned everybody who complained and i hired entertainers solely for the purpose of 'sacking' them. i also built large parks with tons of food and drink stands and one bathroom that cost $10 to use
I'm not that mean on the bathroom situation. usually just enough to cover costs. I do hike up the umbrella prices in the rain though. When I was building my mega coaster I would steal all the money from the pockets of people coming into the park..
Also realized. If you use the stock desgin roller coasters, when people don't want to pay 3 or 4 bucks, scrap it and rebuild the same one, easy money.
i used to lock them in a walkway with a food stand and a drink stand for free and jack the bathroom prices up all the way and see how long it took them before they paid
Holy shit I've been playing this so much recently. I'm trying to get through all the original scenarios. It seemed like a good idea when I started, even though now I hate it. But hey I'm almost there and it beats studying. hahaha.
I loved the first two games. The 3rd one is dope because you can make really good coasters and it looks nice, and you can ride them.
But it doesn't have the same charm as the first two. Shit whats that level on the first one where its some nice ass park with lots of flowers and lakes... god... good times.
i know exactly what level you're thinking of. it has a huge lake and it looks beautiful but there's legit no room for rides so you have to level tons of land but the super huge rollercoaster will actually go in the lake
yeah fiscally speaking that was a terrible endeavor because all the land had to be leveled and there was no room for anything but it was rather quaint indeed, a truly lovely area to spend time
i feel like i usually rocked leafy lake. and every one of my parks had a log flume because log flumes had the best graphics of any of the rides so i would just sit and watch them
i liked building a huge park and doing it all really meticulously, and then having enough cash to build a huge hypercoaster that went as high as possible; and it was actualy one that they'd go on.
I think in my prime i was playing the 2nd or third. Playing the og now. Just went tactical on the bitch. Th3ey love those prebuilt coaster. Had 3 of the same one, making so much money off all the coasters. Built a t 75 plus k mega coaster of doom. (land raised all the way, coaster max hieght, maximum speed booster, then straight down underground)
Send the mega coaster out for a test, boom everyone dies, fuck my life. Still no debt a shit ton of ride, all land purchased can't complain. Done for the nnight. Now moar food and moar rum
soooo, does this bad boy work? this thread just made me nostalgia so hard it would be so tight to have this game to play on the 2 1/2 hr car ride to sunday river this weekend
I love RCT. I remember back when I was 13-14 I would actually go on forums where people would share parks they had built and what not. I got really into making super awesomely themed parks with sick rides. Man, now I really want to play.
YOu don't understand the economics of this game. Prebuilt coasters. "Have 4 of the same thing, all 2.50-3 bucks. When you have to lower the price to much you demolish and buil the same thing in the same spot. Flawless. I had a coaster back in the day worth over 200k. One day for the first time in a month 4 people rode it. I just left it closed for the most part cause everyone was scurrrrrred.
I found that game the other day, sooooo fun. but then my park ended up sucking, so I got everyone onto a little square piece of path over water and drowned them all. haha I'm a douchebag
