on most helmets with ear pads you can take them out

yeah you can take out the liner of 99% of helmets.
If your looking for a specific helmet that is good to wear over a beanie, I love mine. so specifically, get the Bern baker helmet- (seth wescott model)

Yes. It has little snaps so you can snap it in and out.

That little metal thing is holding the strap on, not the liner.

buy a new helmet, that sounds homotastical

or option 2: screwdriver?... (if its that important)

also keep in mind that if the liner is screwed in then its probable like that for a reason and you probably also wont be able to fit a hat under that like you wanted.

just buy a skateboard helmet. cheap, light and no earflaps to worry about. just buy it a size too big to fit a hat underneath.

its a good thought but they dont pass any safety regulations for snow sports + its nice to have the earflaps if something happens to your hat(s).

dude isn't a bern baker just a hard hat as well? I think some skateboard helmets are probably safer than the bern.

i take the earflaps, the padding, and all the straps off. i wear a beanie underneath so it gives perfectly adequate cushioning and it gives me room to wear my sick custom goggle strap underneath my helmet for added steeze. i've only gotten 14 concussions so far and that's because i didnt wear a thick enough beanie

i can guarantee that that "screw" isn't holding the liner in. i used to have a bern helmet just like that and first off its a rivet, not a screw. The snap that holds the liner in is fastened to the inside of the helmet by the rivet.

just give it a yank and the liner comes out.
