hello i am wondering what ski is best for me i like to jibb in the park and jump some medium park jumps and i like to rail boxes and some real rails but i do sometimes shred backcountry you know build a jump and fly really long and land in deep snow so which one should i take i have hear afterbang is not good for jump and is really broke able in the front and the graphic on afterbangs is only painted no plastic over it so it can´t dissapear and the mastermind is nice is plastic on it and it can clear big jumps and is all terrain ski so which one should i get i got the full tilt booter 2010/2011 So please peoples help me out!! thxs bye!
neither will do that good in pow but i would say mastermind if u go out of the park at all and afterbang for strictly park. the mastermind is kind of lines begginer ski but it is a fun light ski. both are a little soft for outside the park though. but it sounds like the mastermind is the ski for you out of those. the chronic cryptonite it a little stiffer and wider so it will do a lot better in pow. so i would recommend the chronic cryptonite cause it wider and both the other ones will sink in pow but between these two the afterbang is better for strictly park but the mastermind is better if u do a mix of both.
line mastermind is pretty much a price-point ski and is pretty cheaply constructed, it will also not perform very well on jumps because its not very stiff. The afterbangs, contrary to popular belief are not just price-point skis and they actually are constructed very well, but i would only recomend afterbangs for rails
if you want line, ya, go with chronics. it'll be more fun on big open groomers, still do fine in the park, and will work well enough in backcountry, mastermind or afterbang would not
either the blend or the chronic crips. the blend is a little wider underfoot so it would make ur bc jump stuff alot better, but the crips would perform better with the rails
rather than making a new thread im going to ask the same question here.
im quite short 155-166cm is good for me in the afterbangs
i live east coast in toronto ontario
mostly rails an boxes some small jumps
im 117 lbs room to grow anddddd all parrk
afterbang for rails and chronic crip for everything besides rails but still nice on rails just not as good as afterbang but it sounds like u like softer ski so go afterbang . i wouldnt go masterminds.
Get the msterminds, they're .8 lbs lighter and are actually more flexier than the afterbangs. Masterminds can handle about 6 in.-8in. of pow afterbangs can hardly handle any. Afterbangs also for some reason i found have a weird flex pattern, in other words with powder u trying to lean back would make the skis ride very weird. Masterminds have a good stable flex pattern and will help you grip rails better too. :) Hope u get the masterminds!
Masterminds are about the cheapest construction you can get besides a foam core ski. Neither is going to perform well on BC booters, but for strictly park the a-bangs are the superior ski.
If you hit bc booters a lot then go for the blend or cryptonite (if you have to stay line)
Bump i want to know which one would be better for me. I ski about 90% park except when im with my borther just playing the mtn. i like to butter and press or would you say a ski like the k2 press.
