false. it was originally duck tape

During WWII johnson & johnson developed a waterproof tape for the military that have similar waterproofing characteristics of a duck's feathers and they used that shit for everything

after the war during the housing boom people realized they could use that shit for a lot of other things namely hvac ducts which is why most people refer to it today as duct tape

but now some company thought it would be cool to confuse everyone further by calling themselves Duck Tape while making duct tape

btw this thread sucks except for that chick..and you guys are idiots if you don't think its double sided on her sensitive parts for easy removal

Duct tape is called so many different things, so calm down.

The Company DUCK actually uses, "Duck Tape" On their packages.

Calm down, it's not a big deal.  Yes, you're right, it is supposed to be, "Duct Tape,"  But there are different names for itl like Gaffers Tape.

i dunno, for me it was kind of cool to find out after my dad drilled into my brain that it wasn't actually duck tape like i was calling it, but duct tape, then getting it flipped back around. so yes, ITS A BIG FUCKING DEAL. STILL.

well, if i were to make a duct tape man thong, which I never would, but if I did i'd probably put something on the other side of the duct tape so as to prevent it from sticking directly to my boys. it's not rocket science.
