well nothing's final yet, but thanks. i still need to wait for a likely letter from the coach

it was so hard for me to make this decision but dartmouth is the best fit for me out of the schools i was looking at eventhough it doesnt have the best rowing program or the fanciest name

im from canada and i dont know many schools in the states but i defenitely know darthmouth and from what i heard its pretty fancy school... and just asking if you guys are applying for nov.1 is it for the spring session of 2011 or for the fall session of 2011

not saying that. obviously i'm stoked out of my mind to even have an option like dartmouth and it is one of the best schools in the country. the decision was made tough because there was a lot of external pressure on me to choose princeton, brown, or stanford for the big name but dartmouth is the best fit for me and the place i see myself being the happiest. that's what it's about, not some name drop at a stuffy work function in 15 years

matt smith, the asst. heavy rowing coach at cornell, is an awesome dude. i talked to him a lot but cornell wasn't really a fit for me. i didnt look at penn though, too urban

thats so true. they're minimum GPA is like a 2.7 maybe lower and they accept 93% of applicants.

as long as you're going to some kind of university it doesn't really matter where you go.
what matters is what you do after college.

Oh  jesus... When you're ten years out... start to feel old. I graduated college before you applied for it & I don't feel old.

I'm about to embark on a revamping of my transcript journey to head to school next at Colorado School of Mines, although the likely hood of ever getting in & affording it is virtually nonexistent.
