Best way to get to the mountains from the philly area with no car

Is there any way to get to big boulder or a close mountain without a car? i'm just outside of philly

to my knowledge, no, not really. unless you can find someone to give you a ride. it'd be super roundabout and totally not worth it, but you might be able to take greyhound up to bethlehem, then arrange something with a special LANTA van/bus or something? i'm not entirely sure.

So like just south of KOP eh? I might be able to be persuaded into providing a ride or two during the season, that's about a thirty minute drive south for me though.

it's probably a little over an hour north of me so your maybe and hour and forty five or so. Hop on 476 straight up to pocono exit, a pretty straight shot, it's been a while since I was at frost or boulder though.

haha pete, weird i stumbled on this thread. ^guy above, i also go to villanova and my car kicked the bucket on me over the summer. i live in devon so im even closer. would be down to share the buds or throw cash. id be nice to have more guys to ride with too. hit me up with a pm

If you're super desperate you could get a Zip Car. This is the farthest spot outside the city I could find one and it's real close to Villanova.
