People have been questioning whether "Mr. Brainwash" actually exists, or if this is all one huge joke Banksy's playing on the public. That is, he could have set the entire thing up and got Shepard Fairey etc. to help out by confirming it. I think it would be so awesome if that ends up being true. This is such a good movie.

Totally, the other guys are no doubt legit. But think about it: if all the Mr. Brainwash art turned out to be done by Banksy, all those ugly-ass Warhol ripoffs and stuff, it would all suddenly be worth millions. It would expose art collecting as a total fraud. He could completely vandalize the entire art industry.

and that would be also be awesome if banksy did that but i kind of doubt it

And not to completely jack this thread, but here's a Banksy mural that went up in Boston recently. I randomly found it walking through Chinatown and took the picture.

Saw this when it came out, its honestly one of the best films I've seen in a whiiile and its even better when you see it from an art perspective. So if you're into art/street art, you'll love this. Ye I didn't read the thread really, I just got stoked on the movie thread being put up on ns haha, but if anyone was wondering, its good and you should go see it, art folk or not.

haha i know its all art and i actually really enjoy street art, but it essentially has little or no culture around it now a days other than hipsters and college students putting up played bitten shit. Big named street artists and the pioneers, blec le rat, space invader, etc are tight as shit. Where as graff such a wide variety of people do it and the culture of it from the 70's-80's is just fascinating and is now a worldwide phenomenon.
