The OP is not racist at all. Some of the replies maybe a tad more offensive but the OP is just offering a video expressing a point. People are far too concerned about crying out against a person who questioned religion now a days, the world is not run by the church anymore... People have rights to question.

i agree with you that there are people getting way to worked up over islam, but..

don't play the ignorance and racist card when he presented mostly facts. to be honest a lot of really intolerant people know the koran better than those who cry for tolerance all over the place. he has a right to strongly disagree with islam as a religion.
and to the op, idk what you mean by "its a legitimate issue," what would the issue be exactly? how to stop islam? how to get rid of muslims? sorta sounds ridiculous

just because some of the things in the koran are really fucked, it doesn't mean every individual muslim is a bad person. think what you will about the ideology, but muslims, at least from my experience, are good people, and they have a right to practice their religion. judge the muslims you meet the same way you would anyone else, as an individual, not a part of something you automatically hate. i think the LDS church is wacko but i still have morman friends and i'm not campaigning against their religion. live and let live

You interpreted it wrong. I meant tolerance is a necessary, but to a certain point. I'm tolerant of nearly all religions until that religions belief, obviously laid out by their Holy Book, directly states death to anyone who doesn't believe. Call me a bigot or whatever you want, I just don't sit well with that.

There is a lot of truth in the Shari'a law part, it's quite fucked up what believers and supporters of Shari'a can do to their loved ones when it comes to loss of honor: wives, children, family - mutilated or killed furiously and without mercy. If a person can abide such horrors to their own kin, what about the rest of us, "non-believers"?

Otherwise, I am against all organized religious activity and connecting it with political and lawful issues, Islam is just one pebble in the pile for me.

Its not how to get rid of Muslims, its how to prevent their laws from becoming active in non-majority Islamic countries, i.e. the U.S. and its not ridiculous at all. I know, for me at least, i don't want to live in a country that stones their women for adultery. And actually, when I think about it, its pretty ironic because the majority of the "tolerant" liberals that support this a) don't know what all it entails and b) would be among the first to be prosecuted under Sharia Law.

islam is a religion its not some radical cult out to destroy america its been around way longer than america and it is a nonviolent belief. the people you are thinking of are a tiny minority who have taken some words said in the koran and blown them way out of proportion. i myself am an atheist but if you wanna practice islam christianity hindu judaism buddhism or the flying spaghetti monster theyre all the same just RELIGIONS and that’s all.

I mean through out history the Church has ordered the killing of millions if they wouldn't convert. I mean just think of the crusades, or Spanish conquistador in south and central america, because of them destroys almost all of the Mayan written history we are far worse off.

The ignorance in that video is absurd. I could make the exact same thing about Judaism, Christianity, or any other religion. It pisses me off how everyone looks at Muslims in a negative light because their beliefs are different. Has anyone actually read the Qur'an? No, it's primarily hearsay and taken out of context. Just saying, if you want to bash Islam, learn about it first.
