First why is this typing in a weird font.

PC just released that 2010-2011 pass shit. Uh... night riding is NOT included in pass prices. COllege/Young adult pass $450, pass including night riding  $550-650.

its confusing how they have it set up on the site. But fuck this, its bullshit.

The "Three Kings' Terrain Park" (new name) is Pick plus another 50% in acrage. The park will expand to include the run that goes under Three Kings Chair, "Three Kings" (skier's right of Pick).  We are taking out some trees and adding snowmaking in addition the the lighting, so it should be exciting to see!

Yeah I'm definitely pumped to check it out. I grew up night skiing so it is going to be fun to be able to do that again. I'm just glad to see them making more park oriented changes/upgrades when they easily could have just kept it the way it was.

I'm sorry, i've been chuckling through this thread so I figured I would chip in my two cents...

Season pass prices were always lumped together.  So now that it's broken apart people are freaking out.  This is the better way to do pass pricing because people that don't want night skiing pay less for their pass.  Not many of you probably remember me but for those of you that saw me around all the time probably heard my little shpeil on being patient dealing with the mountain.  You guys get a huge snowmaking budget for the parks you ride, you get new features every year and the new park management cares about what goes on every day on the hill.  But, for all of that, you need the tourist revenue that comes in.  The more tourists that come in, the more improvements you guys get.  The breakdown of pricing shows you how much you pay per day to ride on a season pass.  So it's not a big secret that there is no money made at all by the majority of the season pass holders.  Pass prices go up every year, it's business, improvements to pay for, repairs and maintenance, new lifts.... 75 bucks this year isn't a huge increase, even on college students payscale, even if you want to try to hype it up that it is.  I survived the first few years living in pc and working the park under 9 bucks an hour and had to budget for the funds to play.  Everyone in life is trying to balance work and play, and sometimes costs to play go up.  Especially at a resort style business.

Hope everyone has a good winter.  I'll try and take some vacation time and grab lunch on the hill with everyone one day this season.  Cheers.

Do I hear an impromptu old school end of season bbq reunion coming this winter?  We might just have to take over a corner of the resort... and re-live the somewhat good 'ol days ;) when all you dang whippersnappers were short little fockers, half as tall as I was (unless your name was willem, then you were a third the size...) but throwing down harder than my knees would ever allow me to.

Didn't the same company that owns PC buy Copper Mountain last year? It'd be sweet if our passes would work there too. It's not that far away and would make for some super fun trips

for everything.. i hate the feel at PC and how a select group of people think that they have the power to control the park and tell people who can go and who can stay. They think that if you cant dub you shouldnt be in the park.. just dont like the feel in the parks at PC and quite frankly ill take a worse park for a better vibe any day

It sucks you're under that illusion, i suck at park stuff and everyone one im with always gets stoked if i do something new, just like theyre stoked on everyone else. But go to brighton, its fine with me, just dont say there park is better because its not even close.

I agree with you on the opinion about the park but PC does feel really cliquey. Maybe its just me but its not a very welcoming atmosphere.

i never said brighton had a better park?! dont know where you got that from.. i was at PC last year and did a big floaty 180 off one of the jumps and this group of kids came down to where i was standing off to the side with some other kids and informed everyone that "if you cant at least cork then get the FUCK out the park" that kinda turned me off to PC.. ive had quite a few similar experiences too

Damn, that guy is a dick. Last year was my first year at PC and I always found it friendly. Whether you're throwing down really impressive tricks, or working on something new to you, it always seemed like people were stoked and happy for each other. My guess is that guy was probably a dick visiting on vacation for a week, thinking he owns the mountain while he is here.

yeahhh exactly... it just completely turned me off and its the only reason Im not gettin a pass there. I like a chill vibe where everybody is helpin each other progress not a couple douchebags thinkin they run the park

park city people aren't going to be friendly to you if you cut them off or don't know what your doing in the park.  Maybe at the drop in at the start of each park, ask whats up ahead and how's it going or something, i guarantee no one will snub you off and yell at you if you are reapectful.

Honestly... the people that are dicks are the total nubs that are their on vacation and shit. You will never see legitimate skiers saying things like "if you can't cork, get out of the park".

It's little clowns who think they run shit because they bought a jiberish hoody and ski PC three times a week. Or the group of kids who are on vacation and have this image of PC only being top level skiers.

Fuck them. ski how you want, and talk shit back. it's easy to put assholes in their place.

Also, I was up a PC yesterday and checked out the lights and Pick. I love how many light posts there everywhere it's sick. But I don't see the expansion of Pick. I thought it was going to be widened, but I couldn't tell a real difference. Unless they mean you can now go left off the lift and they will have features on the separate run that comes down on skier's right, then hooks back under the chair. It looks like that could be it because there were a lot of lights down that. Is that what is going to happen?

screw being mad at a measly upcharge to shred at night. Apparently PC slopes have speed limits with fines and jailtime, this is wrong on so many levels.

Meh, if a ski patroller tried to tell me i was getting a ticket ill tell them to fuck off, those fucks every november/december are nazis about speed and they think we're so bad and reckless when we(us) can probably ski beter than them.
