Bout to buy a chopper / low rider bike, input needed

so i'm trying to cop a new bike to go back to school with.. I really want a cruiser / chopper / low rider style bike. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with buying them online and can recommend me some sites to either buy complete or build the bike. i'm pretty sure that i'd like a back rest on the seat but i'm pretty sure most of the time I'll have a backpack on so i'm not sure if that's such a great idea.

here are pretty much the only two i'm looking at right now.. what do you guys think? first or second?

Personally as this is an outdoors sports forum and I am going to make the assumption that you enjoy outdoor sports, why don't you spend a little more and pick up a nice mountain bike? You could cruise around school and not look like a douche (no offense) and also could have fun with it during the summer to ease your withdrawals of skiing.
