rodeo 5: jump around few minutes and jump and do sideflip-look-a-like and screw yourself 180 degrees. there it is.
d-spin: jump around to get some speed again, jump, start to spin and turn yourself and do a backflip simultaneosly with spinning..
yeah i learned doing d-spins by doing 360s and landing on my back, then it is more natural. rodeos are just plain easy just think of it as a early 180 to front to 180 out, just start it out like that but then merge it up to make it look cool.
why dont people know the basic rotations? a misty is a front flip with a spin, a rodeo is a backflip with a spin, and a dspin is a kind of 180 to misty

I do this flat spin thing thats kinda like a rodeo throw to spin and drop you shoulder and grab saftey(trust me that saftey helps a shit load) and then for a d-spin throw kinda back and spin and WA LA...i dunno if that how you do it...thats the way it feeling like i do it...

for dspin or corked 7 just think of looking over your shoulder (and spinning a little) then doing a misty, so 180 into a misty....it sets up the rotation perfectly....to change it into a d-spin, just get more inverted...the rotation is the same
A rodeo is like an inverted flatspin (not completely inverted though!) The best way to think about it is by how it differs from a backfull which is a completely inverted backflip while your body does a complete twist. In a bcakfull you set the flip before you set the spin (watch aerialist and how the are completely inverted before the pull in one arm to initiate the spin). In a rodeo you set the spin before you set the flip (think 90 degrees then set the flip, you should subconciously pull it around, at least i did when i first started learning them)this works for rodeo 3's and rodeo 5's ive never tried a rodeo 7.

First learn cork 7's backflips and rodeos, i dont like the 180 to misty idea cause it throws your body off the horizontal axis too early. do your supercorked 360 then instead of pulling it back up like a regular cork continue into the backflip, your momentum should automatically make your backflip off axis.
the 180 thing worked for me, but i dont think anyone has really explained it. Try turning your uperbody 180 at the start of your bounce then throw a misty. SInce your going backwards and not forwards like a normal misty now, its really a rodeo. WHen your bouncing think of doing like a switch misty on skis then when you get it stop thinking that and now your doing rodeos

you complicate things way too much...180 to misty idea is just what you can use to know what rotation you do...you dont do a straight 180 then misty....you do a corked 180 then sorta tuck up a little, and the rotation is already there....and i totally didnt understand that description of a rodeo....made no sence to me (to whoever posted 2 above me..cant remember name)
wow - you guys really put way too much thought into shit. a rodeo is just a lincoln role - start doing a lincoln, open your shoulders to the ski and spin around. a misty is a forward shoulder role (act like you're doing a back role over a picnic table that's infront of you).

Really stupid way to figure out the rotation of a misty 540.
Find a couch. Stand at the corner of the couch, looking down teh couch. Letting the couch be on the right side of me works for me.
Lean forward liek front flip, and twist shoulders to the left. Flip, and land with your back on the couch, and your head hanging off the edge. You'll be lying on teh couch upside down. Now roll 360 across teh sofa until your on your back again - still with your head hanging off the edge. Pull your feet back over your head, and fall off teh couch and land upright somehow. Spin another 90. TADA MISTY 540 DONE STUPID!!!
