i mean those are nice but the primary function of a watch is to tell time and if the design impedes on the ability to read the time thats just kinda stupid.

In the last watch, you can move each individual square around. To change the time of an individual square, move it to the middle.

I am wearing a "replica" iwc right now. It's made with one of the chinese made movements inside a stainless case, and its nearly indistinguishable from a real one. pretty baller, and my dad's friend (who has a real IWC), and I, wound the watches and let them run side by side, and after 3 days mine had only gone a fraction of a second out of sync. I look at it this way, I can buy fakes for anywhere between 1 and 500 dollars. assuming they average out to 250$ a pop, I can buy between 100-200 watches for the cost of one real IWC or nicer Panerai, or two thousand watches, instead of one real Patek. Seeing as in all probability I'm never going to be running in the same circles as the people who buy the real deal, my fakes are good enough to fool basically anybody, seeing as people who make less than a few million a year aren't near cultured enough to know any brands outside of rolex or maybe omega.

I have a Rolex Datejust, an Omega Seamaster, and Panerai Luminor... My Panerai and Omega are my go too watches, and the Rolex is rarely worn, as it's too flashy for my taste.

Bell & Ross create some great pieces, I'm just not a big fan of their elements they put in them for the cost they charge. To go along with your Rolex comment, mine was a grad gift from HS, so I can't really complain. And all the people that hate on Rolex's are basically the people that can't afford them, imho, they have one of the most well made movements sold on the market right now, they can go for 30+ years without an adjustment. 30 years later, they're still holding time to within 1 second a day.

I feel like rolex just markets much more than any other brand, besides omega and tag. The watches are solid, but I feel like their primary demographic is tasteless americans who come into some money, but don't come into any culture, so they wear their rolex with some ed hardy, or some gaudy italian suits and silk shirts. not a good look. watches like the Panerai are understated, and they say a lot about the wearer to people with a trained eye.

I agree, they advertise mad amounts, but I have to admit it gets customers. In my opinion, there are different demographics within the Rolex line. For one, the Submariner is definitely for the gaudy guidos that want to flash their money. I prefer the watches that are quality, yet are unnoticeable and only people within that same field of interest will take notice of the piece.

The one on the right is mine, as you can see it isn't one of the big flashy Rolex's

that is a nice rolex. but its a tough one to pull off with daily wear, unless you work in midtown manhattan. Your Panerai though, you can wear it anywhere, and you will know you're a baller, but you won't look like one.

my dad has one of these, or one very very similar to it, not flashy at all, hes had it for over 25 years. not everyone buys rolexes because they are flashy and expensive, they make bomber quality watches, he wears his all day every day, wears it diving, playing sports, etc. its taken a beating and still looks nice and works as well as it did when he bought it.

dont group everyone into the same category because rolex makes some watches that are bought and worn by giant douchebags

I should invest in a watch, seeing as how I now have some cash flow, looking at Nixon because of the prices but it's the most overplayed accessory in my town right now. I'd probably want to get a classier one like this, not any of those fucking rainbow colour bombs that I see everywhere

the reverso was made for polo so the face of the watch wouldnt get scratched. The entire assembly swivels around to reverse itself. The reverse side can be another clockface, the inner workings of the watch, or simply metal than can be engraved.
