Filming skiing with this bad boy would be such a bitch, and keeping the lens mint would be even harder. It weighs 11 pounds and has a 220° field of view.

I can't think of a scenario where I would ever want to use that lens, but to each his own, I suppose.

I wouldn't want to use it either, and so did most consumers. Nikon made it available for special order and not that many were made. The ones that did sell were for special commercial/industrial purposes.
Its an interesting lens

I highly doubt the focus is true throughout the entire image. I can see it getting fuzzy after like 105 degrees or so
