What's your favourite brewery or brewpub you've visited?

Currently its Vermont pub and brewery. They always have an awesome selection of beers that are not sold in stores and their meatloaf is fucking awesome. I personally like the ethan alien lager.

Living in Vermont we have a ton of breweries in a small area. Its almost a crime not to drink micro brews.

Just another thing that makes me jealous of VTers. I've only been to the Magic Hat brewery and it was kinda meh, I wish it wasn't so "showy" as far as the way the decorate the place. I really wanna visit Otter Creek, Harpoon, Long Trail (I've heard about the amazing food), the Pub & Brewery there, and a friend was talking about Alchemist. We're gonna do that whole brewery challenge this winter and have some fun with it. If there are any that we should visit that I haven't mentioned let me know. I'd def take your word for it.

As far as breweries go, I visited the Blue Point place on Long Island this summer and thought it was pretty sick. The taps is a small area, so you kinda gotta fight your way to the front, but you exit the room on to the back "patio" which is basically a parking lot with mixed tables and chairs, but lots of people. It was pretty chill and their beer is sooooooo good. I'm not normally a stout person, but their oatmeal stout made me fall in love. It was so delicious.

I'd love to one day visit Flying Dog in Maryland one day. That's on my list for sure.

Hell yeah maryland. As far as breweries, Shipyard is awesome. Big fan of most of their stuff, particularly since I go to school in Maine.
Brewpubs, I'd say Benelux in Montreal. Really interesting beers, knowledgeable and engaging bar tenders, and a great vibe.
Also, Brasserie Beck in DC. Its a restaurant owned by Chef Robert Weidemaier who owns some of the best restaurants in the greater DC area. Its a Belgian style restaurant with phenomenal food (Mussels are top-shelf. seriously. Order them) and even better beer. It has the most comprehensive belgian beers outside of belgium with 9 beers on draught and over 100 bottled beers. Its my jam.

Long Trail for sure. Total laid back atmosphere and they had fantastic food. Although they don't do growlers which kinda sucked. They did have all kinds of bottles for sale though, including some past seasonals.


Bethlehem brew works down here is pretty damn good as well, if your in the southeast PA area I'd highly suggest it for a bite to eat and beer sampling. They'll fill and bring a growler right to your dinner table if you ask. Not really fantastic beer though, it's good and creative but nothing really wowed me as super tasty.

Dogfish head is a good stop too if your in Delaware.

Bethlehem Brew Werks is the shit. I used to date a girl that lived a block from there, so we'd just walk down and get hammered all night. I thought most of their beers were pretty damn good. I remember they had a few holiday brews that were awesome. It's been about 5 years since I've been there though, so maybe things have changed a little bit.

Ive been two 3 actual breweries - Blue Point, Long trail and Brooklyn Brewery. (not including restaurants like Heartland)

Blue Point is/was my local brewery so it was like a second home for a few years. Long Trail was a great time. I would like to go back there when it is still somewhat warm out but the place was def nice.
But Brooklyn Brewery was the shit. You can go there anytime for a tour and taste a few pints but on Friday nights they have Happy Hour and some saturdays they have events there. Comedians, bands, games etc.... Yes its Brooklyn so there are some hipsters around but I dont even know how I made it to the subway after I walked out of this place. You buy wood tokens at the door that you trade in for beer. In place of them serving food there are menus scattered on the 20 or so picnic tables for all the restaurants in the area and they deliver your food to you inside the place. You want Chinese? the guy pulls up on his moped walks in and shouts your name. The brewery is inside of a typical looking warehouse that if you didnt know it was there you would walk right by it. there is an indoor "cafeteria" area and an outdoor patio for the summer. nothing fancy. but most importantly the beer is fantastic.

Made a trip down to otter creek yesterday in middlebury VT. It was nice, big glass windows so you could see the whole operation. Me and my buddy went down the tap line sampling everything they had to offer. Then the "bartender" asked if we wanted to try the stuff in the back, the Imperial Series. One of the beers was 12% and tasted like champaign. Overall it was a fun ride on a sunny afternoon, ended up with a growler of solstice, their summer beer.

Maryland, not far from Delaware at all momma. Short drive from where I go to the beach........just sayin. Also I hit dogfish head almost every time I'm down there too.

The farmhouse in burlington vt is pretty solid.

I like brewery that do a lot of live music. I go to saranac a few times a summer but I'm not the biggest fan of their beer.
