Custom Rocker

So here is the set up im using to rocker some old public enemies

So these are just old PE's i don't use anymore and would pretty much give away, so i'm not to worried about them not holding up.

Anyway I lack a heat gun but have been using big pots of hot water to add heat every once in a while in addition to leaving them out in the heat.  I pretty much have until december before i even see a pow day to use these, so time is not an issue.  What do you guys think, this rig look pull off-able? 

I was thinking that using straps attatched to the tips and tails with tension pulling them towards each other would be the best improvement i could make on this.

well, i haven't riden them yet, but i'm guessing they'll be less durable but still rideable if you during pow like you're making them for?

yeah the ones im looking at are 187 full camber, so hopefully with rocker i'd be able to throw them around better in pow

yea, but i also read that it's better when there's metal running in the ski. like besides the edges. cause that'll help keep the shape. so research your ski

yes, you are correct.

I say rocker only because it is easier for my fingers to type, and basically the same thing.

yea, but like i stood on the tips to flatten them. and as soon as i stepped off, it went straight back up didn't lessen at all

I would think so. If it was me making the rocker e'd give them a TON of rocker only because they would be skis just for fucking around, but its up to you. It looks to me like your tail has more or equal rocker to the tips, but it may just be the angle of the picture, I would want the tips to have a little more rocker than the tail.

yea, the tips 4" and the tails 4 1/2" so maybe add to the tip and take a bit off the tail? like switch it so the tips 4 1/2" and the tails 4"

see how the rest of us are using a rig and clamps? try that along with a heat gun and leaving it out doors over night to cool

well i did it all outside, so when i heated it it was all gradual and when it cooled, the same thing. so i think it's good

the tip looks ok. the tail looks like it has way the fuck too much rocker.

those look like they are curved more than hellbents...
