$75 for a go pro worth it?

it's the non-HD one..and its a motorsports one. used a couple times, but then he got an HD for his dirtbike and now he doesn't use the regular one anymore.
so my questions are- is it worth it to save up for the regular HD one? it's significantly more
also, will anything be drastically different since it's the motorsports one? we won't be using it as a helmet camera, just to film edits like this one where we used my friends HD-


the only pluses i could think of for it being non-HD is that the footage will be easier to edit, and obviously it'll be cheaper. editing the edit above was a pain in the ass cause i couldn't play back the footage in final cut without it being really herky jerkey and gay.
what do you guys think...

well i have the HD one and i cant believe how good the footage is....
i think there is a reason that he updated his non HD to a HD camera
if i were you i would look around for a HD.

No, HD is so much better, this edit includes footage from HD and non-HD gopros. All the alta footage is non-HD and most of the other stuff is HD.

Ive got a non-HD Gopro if anyones intrested..

Ive got the H2O-proof case, helmet strap, pole mount, wrist mount, and 5 sticky mounts.

well fuck whats the cheapest we can get a go pro HD for? my friend probably won't be down to split anything over like 250.
i've filmed with/edited with an HD and i know how good the quality is, but you guys are saying the regular quality one is that much worse?
i was like set on the $75 one but now idk...

also i have an ipod touch which has a decent video camera- theres an edit filmed with that in my videos. thats one reason to get the HD- not have overlap there...but still $300?
