K2 silencers?

are the K2 silencers a poppy jumping ski or a soft buttery ski??

They're stiff. They're also massively underrated. People seem to talk a lot of shit on them just because they're a budget ski. Sure they aren't the lightest thing ever, but they haul ass and they really are a very good ski to buy, especially considering the price tag.

Get the 10/11's. K2 really stepped up the Silencers for next season.

the new 10/11 Silencer will be like an Extreme, super upgrade from 09/10

i can get them for like 200 new.. sick deal on any ski.. but what is the difference between these and a Extreme?? i want a ski that can really hold up on bigger jumps.. looking to try some dubs this summer!

Which year are you talking about? This year's Silencer is capped, and the Extreme is side wall construction, and they are a little fatter than Silencer's (85 mm vs. 80 mm,) and probably stiffer. However pretty much all the K2 factory skis are getting an overhaul for 10/11. The new Extreme, (not sure if it is even called the Extreme anymore.) Has no camber and has "jib rocker." The new Silencer is still capped I think and has camber with some rocker, but is supposed to be much better than it was in previous years.

Next years Extreme is the Revival, but next years park destroyer from K2 (the one all their pros seem to be riding) is the Domain.

Silencers are pretty stiff at first (Margetts uses them as a pipe ski I believe), and will be stiffer next year, but after awhile the start to break in and become softer and more playful (usually takes about half a season). Fun ski, they were my first park ski, and they're good to learn new stuff on, not to mention they're pretty cheap. As far as learning dubs on them, it wouldn't be my absolute first choice, but they should be able to handle big enough jumps pretty well.

ive got the red ones from two seasons ago. super poppy and flexible. awesome ski. there size 159 and if your interested im putting them up for sale soon after i fix up the ski. pm me if you are.

i have silencers...

they are light weight, buttery, and inexpensive for that quality ski.

if you wanna get a higher quality ski and all around better go for an armada ar7 or line afterbangs. very nice(borat voice), but semi-expensive.
