Chronic cryptonites vs. anthems/ar6s/afterbang

these cryptonites look really sick but i dont know how they perform to these other skis that ive skied before and really liked....i need some input

They are much stiffer than Anthems. Out of those three skis I am guessing they will be most like the AR6. (Stiffer, no flex points.)

LOL you think they are stiff. They are quite soft. Most comparable to the AR6, but softer.

Well if your skiing all mountain, wanna do pow, groomers, and park get the Chronic Cryptonites's, they preform super well on the groomers and in the park and are capable of doing pow when necessary. Its a pretty stiff ski but not to stiff that you cant butter knuckles and rails with them but stiff enough so you can tear the groomers without allot of vibration. The Cryptonites has a sick top sheet graphic and all round are a great ski. For me and my type of skiing the cryps are so so delicious!.

Cryptonites are not for park only. I warn you now that there are better preforming park skis out there for relatively the same price.

As said in the quote, perfect for all mountain... but PRETTY good in park. But to be honest it's a matter of personal preference, some people LOVE these for all park but I can't do it. It's too wide and too soft, I don't know if you should be listening to anyone online but try a friend's or demo them (if possible) because the asymmetric flex may be weird.

yeah, its basically personal preference, everyone has dif skiing styles and preferences when riding the mountain. But for me. These are a solid ski :)

The only way to find out is to demo them.

There's no way you can get a perfect picture of how a ski performs by what some people (some of which don't know jack shit) say on the net.

Ar6s are softer in the tips and tails. I'd go for them over the cryptonites if I were you (I ride regular 85mm chronics and anthems).

Butter is rights you cant really get a full understanding until you have actually ridden the ski, "knows butters" how are the regular chronics, do they slash the shit out of the whole mountain?

Definitely.

I love my chronics so much. My mountain doesn't get a lot of fresh/pow, but the chronics rip the shit out of literally everything. I ski every part of the mountain every day.

I bomb groomers in the morning on the corduroy, hit some rails/boxes/park at midday, slash some Backcountry/big mountain/cliff drops in the afternoon and ski a few runs on moguls/crud late afternoon.

They literally handle all of the above so well. There's no real weakness of the ski, where as with my anthems and other softer skis I've owned, they've been let down a lot usually at speed/in backcountry.

Admittedly they aren't brilliant in pow... at all, but I probably get one or two pow days a year, so for the conditions I ski, they are perfect.

How stiff are the cryptos compared to AR6, T-Hall, Walls, Ace of Spades etc

Iv always thought that crpytos were supposedly 2x4s, I currently have anthems but want something a bit stiffer for when im outside of the park but still got butterability.

Im 6,1 155lbs so I cant butter something thats going to be amazingly stiff.

Me and my brother have used chronics and ar6'sand both agree that the ar6 is softer. Thats all I have to offer. And those were normal chronics, not wides.

AR6s are soft as shit, anybody who says any different has never flexed a stiff ski. Chronic kryptos are a bit stiffer than them. Definitely not what you are looking for if you want a soft ski.

How the fuck would we know if you wouldn't like a ski without even skiing it.

Think about it. THE CRYPTONITE IS A STIFF SKI. IF YOU LIKE STIFF SKIS THEN YOU WILL LIKE IT. Do we have to spell it out for you?

^relax. And I really doubt that you would notice that much of a difference between them, but from what it sounds like, you want a softer ski, and the Chronic Krypto is a stiffer ski, so you most likely wouldnt like them. That being said though, demo them somewhere, like Windells (if you're going) or wait until next season.
