When Bobby "Board of Education vs." Brown had his season cut short by a back injury in March, skiing collectively hushed and wondered what lay in store for the big air dominator. Two short months later, the answer is loud and clear: he's back. And his back is working just fine.
Back from an inopportune back injury in March, Bobby Brown is rumored to have landed a triple flip this weekend in Alyeska, AK.
Brown traveled to the mountain resort of Alyeska, AK this weekend to hit a 100-foot tabletop in front of the lenses of the ski film company Matchstick Productions, and the outcome was favorable. Very favorable.
"I think it's safe to say that Bobby is the best park skier ever," tweeted Gus Kenworthy in reaction to the X Games Big Air champ's first session since his injury on a jump of that size. "His injury just made him a million times better... Is that possible?"
On his first day back, it seems that Brown hadn't missed a beat — and that he'd possibly even gained a few. And after doing every trick in the book during what Kenworthy tweeted was the "Craziest sesh ever," he might have even written a new trick into aforesaid book.
"Just had the most intense jump session of my life...," Russ Henshaw wrote on his blog after Sunday's session.
Henshaw, who was also on hand for the MSP film shoot, echoed Kenworthy in expressing awe regarding Brown's performance, specifically. In a recent blog post, the Australian hints that Brown's session might have reached an unprecedented level, writing "Trips [triple flips] went down today..."
"...Bobby Brown is in town and he is killing it."
