Twin tips advice

hey whats up guys... I am new to freeskiing and I dont have a clue what brand produces good twin tips for a good price... maybe u can gimme some advice on that one...
and what size do I have to take when I am 186cm/ 6"1 ????

well i moment and armada make really good twintips. but kinda on the pricey side but well worth it!

There are so many diffrent brands it would be pointless to name all the good ones because there are so many. If you want good value for money LINE  is probably your best bet!  Have a look around and see what you like.  Heres a few other good brands with wide ranges of twin tips:
Armada
Atomic
Volkl
Salomon
Scott
Rosignol
K2
 
 You wouldn't really want to buy a ski smaller than 181 for your size, anything bigger than that would probably be great.

but aint armada very cheap?... havent seen any over 500 yet.... so are there special twin tips which are not located on their homepage...or are they just good and cheap?

I wouldn't call armada cheap no. It's probably just because its the end of the season so all the prices have been reduced. Armada are very good for the price though!

Theres a package deal for afterbangs for 380$ but they are 166cm, if you like small skis that are good for rails, go for it.

Haha, hes 6,1 thats like skiing on blades all day... Im not even sure if that would help, i think it might suck being on skis so small!

I still think u should be goin even bigger for being 6,1! I would have thought you would be in the 180's for sure!!  Im 5,8 and on 173.

mhm.... but why so tall... aint it harder to spin with such tall skis?... or to jump?

No, at your size it will feel just right spinning on the right sized ski!  And no way are jumps harder, a short ski will not be stable for someone your size and weight landing on it. A longer ski (a right sized ski) will be very stable and shouldnt wash out on landings.

that sounds pretty logically :D.... what skis du u got?.... I kinda like the armada skis..the pipe cleaner... 181cm should be alright?

Im about your same size probably, go for at least the 178 dude, and if your skiing park, DONT let the people who are mounting your skis try to talk you into mounting them far back just because your a beginner.....no farther back than -2, i would go center mount. you'll regret it if you get them mounted way back, its not as easy to set spins off rails/jumps.

And longer skis are more stable, at high speeds and landings off jumps....and it looks kinda dumb when your rocking incredibly short skis for your hieght.

If your looking for a jump ski go stiffer/ rail ski you can go for both....softer for buttery fun

-Vokl wall is a good ski for your size....size 177cm or if your want 185cm

-Armada T-Hall: go for size 181cm

-Moment Rocker: Not as easy to catch edges due to the rocker on the shape of the ski

- Line Chronic: Stiffer jump ski

At the moment i have 171 LINE invaders but tomorrow im ordering some Armada alpha 2's!! 

Defo the armadas they are great skis. I couldn't decide between pipe cleaners and tanners also. The pipe cleaners will be a real fast ski and i can presume good for pretty much everything. Rails may not be so good on it as the Tanners just because the flex is diffrent mainly i think.

i would look at some moments or liberty's they both make a really solid ski but if you are lookin for a cheaper but good ski i think line would be your best bet
