Are the new look pivots better than the old ones?

Assuming you're talking about the old turntable style pivots (they look the same as the new ones, but different colors) they have a different DIN range (14 DIN, instead of either 12 DIN or 15 DIN - both versions have an 18 DIN). Also, the new ones are wide break capable, unlike the old ones which required bending. As far as a lifter, the toe piece has a riser (which also has the AFD on it) and the heel piece is also elevated on its own, but they don't come with the race plate that goes underneath them on race bindings.

Oh my bad, I was under the assumtion it was just a rerelease with more brake options.

the old ones came with optional wide brakes too. and the old ones were available in 10 12 14 15 and 18 din while the new ones only come in 14 and 18

the only thing new on the pivots 18 is that thier at delta zero which not may bindings are set as

trust me cause i have them mounted on my suspects

they have a wider mounting pattern now, so theres no danger of ripping out of a phat ski.

same dins, same mounting pattern, same everything and like someone said there were a few years of the old ones when they had fat brakes. plus when you get old ones you can customize break width to your ski easier.
