legalizing hemp

i dont know if anyone knows anything about this but in south dakota they are trying to get hemp legalized. if you know anything about hemp it is not the same plant as marijuana as a lot of people think it is, it is just in the same family as the marijuana plant, (cannabis). Some people are trying to fight it but one of the people leading the fight to legalize it is the ex police chief of the biggest city in this sate.

if hemp is legal it will dramatically help this states economy espicially on the indian reservations, since hemp can be used for almost antyhing it is a very resourceful and practical plant.

i was just wondering everybodies opion on it. and remember...hemp is not marijuana

I agree whole-heartedly. Industrial hemp has no relation whatsoever to marijuana.

I got stopped one time when I was going through the US border crossing, because I was wearing a hemp necklace.. It should be legalized.

If weed was legal in B.C it would be so rich, Weed is the biggest industry in B.C, bigger than lumber, but then again the prices would probably go up, and i have no problem getting it now, so why leglize it

is it legal to grow and process? its legal everywhere. one of my friends did her senior research product on legalizing hemp and she said that the dea was proposing to make any posession of hemp the same as possesion of marijuana. it would never happen but i guess someone was trying to do it.

its legal in north carolina. there was a big controversy over it but it was proved that you cant get high off it unless you smoke like, 30 pounds of it.

If u tried to get high off hemp, you'd probaly die of smoke inhalation. I have nooo fuickign clue why hemp is illegalk in placecs. What the fuck is the big deal? What the hell makes it any different then any other thread, fabric. Damn politicians

the reason hemp was made illegal was because wayyyy back it posed a threat to the traditional rope makers of the time so legislation was passed so that jobs would be saved.

I dunno, I think people sometimes acossiate hemp and marijuana (sp?) and that's why they freak out about it.
Pot is not a bigger industry than lumber in B.C. That's insane.
In any case, I don't smoke pot, but I think pot and hemp should be legal.

Sucks that there's so much prejudice towards hemp.

But, in other news, isn't it odd how popular marijana (weed... whatever...) is. To think that superfical escape is so popular, complacency is curbed by anti-depresants which are a poor solution to problems. Just some thoughts aboot weed.

Hemp is fully legal in Canadia, there's a store near my house called hemp unlimited, all they sell is shit made of hemp, it's wild, hemp candles, hemp shirts, hemp furniture, hemp hemp, damn its sweet
