Is doctor ns in the office?

Ok so I was skating at Les in the city today and I rolled my ankle coming out of a back crook I thought I hurt my ankle but turns out it's my foot that is hurting and I get this sharp pain in my foot everytime I put pressure on it. I just wanna know it it's broken or not becaue I really can't afford to have my foot brooken right now. +k thanks

its probably just a sore tedon or a pulled tendon, nothing really bad, just ice it and chill for a little and don't go hard if you skate, if it keeps hurting after like 4 or 5 days maybe hit up your mothern to take you to the real doctzor. just a guess cause i've done the same shit back in the day when i used to boardskate.

p.s., if i am wrong, your foot could need amputated.. ;]

Ice and Ibuprofen.

With the ice, do 20 on 20 off for a few hours. And with the Ibuprofen, take them as directed on the back of the bottle.

i had taht too, overrotated a 7 and it ripped my ski and bootin the direction of the kicker, so like 70 ° in the other direction of my hips. it hurt really bad as it happend, and i thought i ripped a tendon or ligament.
after a day it got better, but i couldnt put pressure on it. it was a little swollen but i was sure it wasnt torn.
now, like 1 1/2 months later it still hurts a bit. maybe i should have gone to the doc. i cant run, but walking is fine. if i were you i would go to the doc. just to be on the safe side.

During track I was taking 1200mg/day, 5 days a week.

And in one sitting I took 3000mg and I am still alive. Man up.

I would suggest taking Aleve (naproxen), which is better used on things like sprains and other inflammation based pain. Ibuprofen and aspirin are targeted for things like headaches. It also tends to last longer, 8-12 hours, whereas ibuprofen/aspirin are 4-8 hours.

I thought that Ibuprofen was more geared towards injuries like this since it is an anti-inflammatory whereas Tylenol etc. (Acetaminophen) was better off for headaches since it is a pain reliever/fever reducer.

No, you're right. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, and its better on your stomach lining...but naproxen has a stronger effect and lasts longer. I think naproxen is best used on a one time deal - rather than ibuprofen which many use often in their daily lives. This kid hurt his foot, he wants relief, so I though Aleve would be best. Just basing it off the knowledge I have of them.

No that makes plenty of sense, I just have never taken Naproxen so I don't know anything about it haha.

oh, yes i'm definitely a fan of the naproxen. i actually take it more often than ibuprofen, other than when i am ordered to take ibuprofen.
