once i have got the money into my paypal from the buyer, do i wait until it processes to my bank account, or do i have to transfer funds??

I would also like to know this.  If I add my bank account, am I able to put money people send me into my account?

its under my account, it says withdraw and transfer to my bank account

At the top, under "My Account", go to Withdraw -> Transfer to Bank Account (once you're bank account is hooked up)
