Slackline advice

ive been slacklining for a while and its finally time to get my own set up.

they're both one inch webbing with hand crank tension systems. the first one is 50 feet, the second is 60, but the first has adjustable tree slings and a tension widget which the second one lacks.

any advice on which one to choose or recommendations on other kits to get would be great

That's the setup I have. I couldn't be happier with it. Super easy to set up and adjust the tension. Very dynamic webbing with two different textured sides. I'd definitely recommend it. Hope that helps.

wait people pay alot for "set ups"? Just go to EMS and get the supplies yourself, you only need a few carabiners and some tubular webbing. I got my "set up" for under 50.

i dont have an EMS near me, just an rei and they charge a fuckton with just webbing, biners, and anchors so i might as well pay the same and get a hand crank.

REI sells webbing for .30 cents a foot. you can get a setup for under 50 dollas no problem. and IMO a traditional carabiner system is better then a crank. The Mammut setup is sick though!

other then being cheaper. cranks are heavier and when the line starts to swing it creates counter swing making the line swing more. on the other hand cranks don't slip and are easier to setup.

i'd say if you are walking lines around 50' biners are better, and cheaper.
IMO you don't need a crank if you are doing longer lines.
Do you have any kind of outdoor store around? REI sells webbing for 30 cents a foot, other for about 35 cents a foot. and biners are like $5-10 each.
So i'd say:
50 ft. of webbing, 2 10ft pieces of webbing, tied in loops= anchors $25
+ 5 biners $35
______________
= $60

Don't buy a premade package. Trust me on this, you will save a LOT on one you put together yourself.
Things you will need:
-2 motorcycle tiedown straps (to be used as very adjustable tree anchors, get them strong)
-5 oval caribiners
-However much webbing you want. I'd say about 40-70 feet, depending on what you want to do. The longer you get, the more you'll have to grow into the bigger lines.

Overall cost ~$60
