So im going out to portland in the third week of october this year, and im wondering if i should bring my skis. is it really worth going that late in the year, or is it still banger? thanx
all depends on the weather and what they have left for snow....tline might be closed or there could still be a couple of rails in the ground. Check the site/call before you go.
i can pretty much guarantee you they wont have a park and most likely they wont even be open. Sometimes on nice weather weekends if the previous season had good snow palmer will open, but in the fall.. it is mostly closed. This year there is no snow.. to the guy up there who said they have a pretty decent park until august.. this is only kind of true. last summer public park was pretty much gone by august so if you wanted park you could go to mhssc and help dig and they let you hike.. this year there is way less snow.. there is no telling how long there will be a public park. hope you got all the info you need now. my advice is not to bring your skis in october.
