tim threw rodeo 12 in his aspen open qualy run and it was the illest.

Tim doesnt need urban in his edit. He proved last year with his edit that he is good at it. there is no point to put in more this year when Berman knows he has it.

Just because Timmy is known on Ns from Clownschool edits does not make him known. People such as Berman and the Level 1 crew i take it do not sit on NS all day and watch edits and read threads, therefor Timmy is unknown to them

I agree that there was nothing mind blowing only to the extent that all of the edits were mind blowing. I think the difference from years past lies in a couple of different areas. Firstly, with the expansion of online communities such as NS, we are way more accustom to seeing really sick edits of relatively unknown skiers. Also I think that we are in the midst of an era. No one is really bringing a totally new style or technique to the table.

In the earlier years of Superunknown, every year the winner was doing something so different and impressive that it made them stand out. I think that free skiing has reached such a level of ability and progression that we won't see any incredibly standout unknowns until the next big turn in the style of the sport.

None of this is to at all discount the skiers this year. They are all amazing athletes skiing at a caliber that I can only dream of. I think that is the other big difference these days, there are so many unknowns competing at such a high level that the differentiation between them is less than we have seen in past years.

Overall, props to all the finalists, every single one of those edits is super sick. I do not envy the people that have to choose a winner. It is a tough call but I think that I would call my top three: Milbocker (styliest of all the entrants by far), Laker (soo tech), or Bellemare (sick all around). But just about any of the entrants could take the win and I wouldn't be able to dispute it.

Ok, first off I thought everyone in Super Unknown slayed this year. All of the finalists crushed it and are all very talented skiers. But could comeone please explain to why Karl Fostvedt didn't make finals? Or at the very least honorable mention. What's the deal Level 1?

There a about 5 that could win it now, maybe more. But Logan Imlach wins in my book. He may not have the sickest tricks, but he has creativity like Will Wesson. I'd rather watch fresh new tricks, than the same rail trick again and again.
