Title says it all.
What websites are blocked that clearly shouldn't be.

Tried to get on flickr to get stuff for my portfolio today..BLOCKED. "social networking"

This thread will probably die pretty quick.

my high school blocked wikipedia. and almost every search engine and website out there. they only allowed you to use these special "academic databses" they paid thousands of dollars a month for. its fucking ridiculous, teachers would ask you to do research for a topic and then take you to the library and you would just be like "there is absaloutely fucking nothing i can do right now" because those academic databases didnt have fucking shit about anything.

fun fact: you could still get on 4chan for some reason. and aol mail. and newschoolers.

but i went to college for my senior year, and you can do whatever the fuck you want on the internet here

Some 2nd grader was googling an artist for a project and accidentally clicked on some porn website.

i was doing a research project for my child psych class, and i chose how ADHD impairs  a child learning abilities. There was this guy who did lots of studies, i got his name and went to his website. They blocked the website because it had a store in it where you can buy his books. They don't block amazon or ebay

haha, it's only useful for when I'm bored in class and want to go on websites where the writers are completely oblivious as to what's going on much like Obama himself. There was this one article today, I lost it in class because the writer was talking about how Obama really is trying and wants to make an effort with Republicans so he can gain their approval on the health care. It's all bullshit, he just wants to pass health care but he's fucked because Scott Brown won Mass.

Web based proxy's are easy:

Just go to a website which has a collection like this one : http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
Choose one and then you go and surf from that website to where you want.

A proxy is basically a computer network service that allows clients to make indirect network connections to other network services. That's why they are slower then regular internet.

But most schools block proxy's aswell, but just search for them cause there are new proxy's every second.

They block the usual, facebook, myspace, not twitter though. They don't block lanitafap.com or any other fap sites. I don't know why though. They don't block NS either. But I use proxies for everything so it doesn't matter.

Proxybaboon.com, thousands of proxies every day.
