title says it all, where are newschoolers employed??

i work at GNC, pretty solid job, only 4 employees so we all chill, get all my supps with fat discounts, base pay + commission ontop so im happy, best part is working at the mall all the hotties that walk by, i see ass n titties all day long :)

Benefits
- i sit all damn day, ever had a job where you stood too much? Not here...
- i can surf the internet all day (like now)
- i can do damn near whatever I want in my cube. Video games, listening to music, text message, etc.
- very flexible with my college schedule and most activities i wish to do

Downsides
- Michigan job market is tough, I am happy to just have a job and with that brings to point #2
- I make only $8/hr
- the company i work for is basically slowly going out of business
- no room for making more cash at my current job
- im twenty fucking four making $8/hr

Im going to go speak with a counselor to get some new career ideas. I've basically come to hate computers. I can fix mac's, pc's, network wizard, etc. I just have no interest in working on them at the rate of pay that I do, and even getting paid decently, the only thing I care about is getting paid. Its like cleaning a dirty toilet, its just annoying and you want to get it done with. I am more annoyed by consumers and their stupidity than anything. I feel if I was in a corporate environment I wouldn't have these same complaints, but oh well.

Local Restaurant, which just so happens to cater the 3 mountains in our area so I get some sick discounts skiing too, not really a win win, but it does the job.

MSU microbiology lab,  it's not too bad except for when I have to clean out really nasty petri dishes and test tubes.  Awhile back they were growing the organism that breaks down dead animals, shit was sooooo gross.

baseball field maintenance in Minnesota... which means essentially a 2-month work season

i'm outside the entire time and don't have a boss or uniform. i choose when i work and what i want to work on. $11/hr and i make far more in the 2-month period than I spend all year.

ski instructor.  I get paid to ski the park and teach kids how to jump and bang out rails.  So far i've gotten 10 8 year olds spinning threes and one 7 year old doing 5s

Pro's of working in an upstart ski company:
- You get to make skis
- You get to make skis
- You get to make your skis, with your customs and crazy ideas (CONDOM TOPSHEETS!)
- You get to tell girls "I make skis for a living"
- ?????????
- PROFIT!

Minuses:
- Long hours
- No sleep
- No skiing until all orders filled (2 days so far this season)
- No showering (we live at the shop)
- The only ass I see is Sam Caylors

junior mechanic at a Bike Shop.. pretty ssweet.. $10 a bike and about a hour and a half to build a bike plus extra for working the sales floor..

the pay only works out to like 7 a hour but I am going to a hourly wage next summer.. plus working in a small 3 person shop is soo fun.. great manager and mechanic, plus I am one of the fastest rider in the pacific northwest and so they are totally chill with me just taking off and going to races..

pretty chill place to work.. plus If any of you know bike parts and bike in general are stupid expensive.. cost on stuff is amazing.. and because we sell rossi and salomon XC skis I can get that stuff at cost too.. super sick..
