Boots. How much do they matter?

basically you could ski in WC-boots if they have the right fit. so i guess if you're boots fits you and feels comfortable you should be doing just fine.

But, i would really recommend getting a pair of boots thats designed in every way to handle the kind of skiing your doing. And then take them to a bootfitter and put in a custumized sole(for your foot). This will obviously cost some money, but its definatly worth it. Ever heard of shinbang? To many of my friends have quitted skiing because of the condition tibiaperiostitt, which basically is a permanent shinbang.

I started to get this condition because of my poor fitting boots, so i decided to put in a great amount of money in my boots. So i went online, bought a pair of Full Tilt Hotdogger(i had tried them on before and tested them on slopes) and took them to the bootfitter. Seriously, i pretty much have perfect fitting boots now..


But, if your growing this could be a overkill since you probably will need another pair after a while.

If they feel fine, then your good.  If they hurt, then you aren't.  It's that simple with boots.

Boots are your most important piece of equipment. If they don't fit then you're not going to be skiing as well as you would in a pair that is nice and snug. If they feel fine, and your feet don't wiggle around in them at all then you're probably good.

thanks guys. since im growing alot im not going to go into permanent fitting. as soon as i end puberty ill rape my wallet with the type of stuff your talking about. thanks for the advice

if they feel and work fine then by all means keep them

it's time to switch boots when they either start to hurt or feel too soft and low performance for your needs
